It is known that around 400 years ago, there was a temple of Mahadevji. Then Shri Bapuji Mahasukhram, son of Shri Mahasukhram Malakchandra Pranvallabh who belonged to Sathodra Nagar Brahmin “Gruhastha”, gave a distinct appearance to the said Dholeshwar Mahadev temple. The temple was then worshipped strictly by the members of the family. The temple was not open to the general public. Shri Bapuji Mahasukhram was the father-in-law of Raobahadur Ranchhodlal Chhotalal who was the founder of the first cotton cloth Mill (factory) on our ever pious and prosperous soil of Gujarat. And it is believed that the same Shri Bapuji had established the idol for Shri Chamakarik Hanumanji in this temple. Since that day, there has always been peace and power in the Desai Pol which is considered unshakable till date.
